A New Year.

This gorgeous picture of this young bride conveys strength, confidence, and beauty.

It is now the beginning of a new year… filled with opportunity, hope, and the possibility for change.  Change is a decision, it is a choice that each one of us make thousands of times each and every moment of every day.  Let’s decide today to make a positive change this new year so that when this present becomes just another ripple in the past, we will have something great to look back on.  A new year is the start of something new, just like one’s first day of marriage.  As the bride and the groom wake up next to each-other for the first time the morning after the grand celebration and ceremony the night before, they have a choice to honor their vows and remain together no matter what.   Then years down the road of life, when they look back on this new adventure, they can smile and reminisce and then look forward to the future with strength and hope.

Below are the set of vows included in the movie, “The Vow.”

“I vow to help you love life, to always hold you with tenderness and to have the patience that love demands, to speak when words are needed and to share the silence when they are not, to agree to disagree on red velvet cake, and to live within the warmth of your heart and always call it home.

I vow to fiercely love you in all your forms, now and forever. I promise to never forget that this is a once in a lifetime love. And to always know in the deepest part of my soul that no matter what challenges might carry us apart, we will always find our way back to each other.”

Enjoy the New Year!

Christmas is here…

December 21st, 2013

It is that time of year again when everything is covered by a soft layer of snow and although it may be cold outside, the hearts of many are warmed up by the love and the spirit in the air.  It is a time to remember why we celebrate and rejoice.  We come together as family and friends and find true joy in the company of others.

Below is a stunning black and white image of this young bride on her wedding day. She is standing in the doorway of the Milton Ridge chapel and at the start of the isle.  She is about to begin a new chapter in her life.  Her holidays from now on out will be filled with more family to share it with as her and her groom become one together.

More traditions and more love.

This Christmas season, remember to take a moment to reminisce about special moments in your life shared with the ones that you love.  Remember the true reason of Christmas… that Jesus Christ loves you so much that He died for you so that you may have a relationship with His Father, God.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!”- 1 John 3:1a

In this moment…pause

August 30th, 2013

This is the spot… the very moment that has been planned, anticipated, and dreamt of for countless couples.  In the chapel, under the arch, standing face to face with the love of one’s life.  This is the turning point that begins the rest of one’s life, a new journey, a new phase, a new start.  This is where two people come as individuals and leave as one heart united for life.  Hand in hand you and your fiancé will stand here and look out at your family, friends, and future life together.  Be sure to take a moment to pause and reflect.  This only happens once and deserves to be cherished rather than rushed through.  There is so much build-up to this very spot that sometimes, people simply forget to be still and momentarily hold on to this place in time.  Before you and your fiancé rush back down the isle and become overwhelmed with the reception, laughter, and life; treasure this unforgettable moment as a couple.

That Moment…

April 30th, 2013

That moment right before the groom turns around, the anticipation is rising, heartbeats are racing, thoughts are swarming… then, he turn and sees his most beautiful bride to be standing right before his eyes.  At that instant, when their eyes meet, a peace transcends the room and nothing else matters.  They gaze longingly at the hope and joy for their future as they are becoming one coming together.

How beautiful it is to find that one special person  to spend the rest of your life with, through all of the ups and downs.
